What is S.H.A.R.E. Power?

S.H.A.R.E. Power is an asset management platform which supports communities, and brings the resources, in managing the transition to Zero GHG energy systems, and the maintenance thereof. Because this system is owned and operated by your community, it creates an economy that supports other areas of your community.

S.H.A.R.E. Power stands for:

  • Sustainable, renewable and restorative practices

  • Healthy well-being of humans and habitats

  • Affordable and equitable service to all communities

  • Resilient and adaptable to climate and economic changes

  • Efficient energy and material investment

Our goal is to improve safety and quality of life for the same money you pay today by developing locally controlled unified utilities.

Our economic model is based on two pillars:

  1. The collective economic strength of working together is far greater than the sum of the parts.

  2. Our demonstrated ability, based on co-founder Greg Allen’s advanced mechanical system and community energy approach, to reduce the amount of energy necessary to provide thermal services (heat, cold and hot water) by a minimum of 75%. This creates surplus capital to both maximize the infrastructure necessary to achieve S.H.A.R.E Power and to be an economic catalyst for the necessary wider community transformation.

Together we work with communities to show them that they don’t need government funding or charity to create a self-sustaining economy.

By gathering the shared financial strength of your community’s energy economy, united with the efficiency of S.H.A.R.E Power’s platform, energy prices are stabilized and the cost of retrofits, renewable generation and microgrids can be covered by existing energy bills — it doesn’t require additional funding from the communities we serve.

S.H.A.R.E. Power is an initiative of the Odenaansan Project.

Odenaansan means “heart of the little place where I live.” The purpose of Odenaansan is to support communities in restoring Minobimaadziwin, “that good life” Indigenous peoples enjoyed before contact.

It bases its work on three guiding tenets

  1. Restoration of heart to community and kindness in how we treat each other. Indigenous communities were organized through clan structures and socio-economic familial units. In other words, a loving family structure.

  2. Regeneration of the land.

  3. Revitalization of Indigenous culture. Indigenous culture comes from the earth itself and offers a path forward for life which is particular to place and comprehensive.
